The Momentum desktop agent runs quietly on Windows, macOS, and Linux, recording working time from the first sign of activity. There is nothing for employees to remember — no timers, no punch-ins, no end-of-week reconstruction. Every session is stamped with a start time and finish time, and the day's record builds itself in the background while people simply do their jobs.
Active and idle, honestly separated
Keyboard and mouse signals distinguish genuine working time from idle stretches, so the Timeline shows an honest green-and-red picture of the day rather than one inflated total. Managers see active desk time next to the expected desk hours your organisation configured, which turns a raw hour count into a fair, comparable measure of real effort across every seat.
Anchored to the workday you define
Admins set workday hours, expected desk hours, office start and end times, and target productive hours once in General settings. Every captured minute is then measured against those expectations automatically — the Activity view shows each person's start time, finish time, and active desk time versus expected, so a short day and a deep-focus day are never confused.
Offline work still counts
Not every productive hour happens in a browser. The agent records time in offline applications as faithfully as anything else, and App Usage in the Timeline includes offline apps alongside everything running on the machine. When a device reconnects, its captured activity syncs up to the dashboard, so field laptops and flaky Wi-Fi never punch holes in the record.
