How Momentum reads hr & resourcing time

Workday time is captured by the desktop agent like any other app — here's how it flows into classification, scores, and dashboards.

01
Capacity that reflects reality

HR platforms hold the truth about who should be working — leave, rosters, joiners, and leavers. Momentum holds the truth about who actually is. Its Settings define workday hours and expected desk hours, and the Activity module compares each person's captured active time against those expectations, so resourcing conversations start from measured capacity rather than assumed headcount.

02
Lifecycle without loose ends

Momentum's machine lifecycle mirrors HR events: new machines enroll as Pending and only report once Approved, and when someone leaves, admins can Reject the machine and remotely uninstall the agent from the console — so data collection stays aligned with employment status automatically.

Where Workday should land in your app rules

HR tools are role-dependent: Productive for the HR and People departments via override, Unmarked globally for everyone else — an employee booking leave isn't being unproductive, but it isn't their core work either. Unmarked keeps that time visible and neutral, which is exactly the fair treatment self-service HR deserves.

// FAQ

Workday + Momentum, answered

How does leave data change productivity expectations?+

Expected desk hours drive the expected-vs-actual comparison, so syncing leave and roster data keeps people on approved time off from showing up as underperforming — their expected hours reflect their real availability.

What happens to the agent when an employee exits?+

Admins move the machine to Rejected and trigger a remote uninstall from the Machines view. No desk visit is needed, and the machine stops reporting immediately.

Who in the org can see individual HR-related activity?+

Managers see their own teams' data and each employee sees their own Timeline and Activity — HR integration data inherits the same boundaries as everything else in Momentum.
