How Momentum reads crm & customer-facing time

HubSpot time is captured by the desktop agent like any other app — here's how it flows into classification, scores, and dashboards.

01
The system of record, measured

For revenue and support teams, the CRM or ticketing desk is the job. Momentum's agents capture active time in these tools — desktop or browser — so managers see genuine desk coverage: when reps are working accounts, when agents are in the queue, and how that maps to office start and end times configured in Settings. Attendance stops being a guess.

02
Coverage and score in one view

With CRM and helpdesk apps marked Productive for customer-facing departments, the Activity module turns queue time into productivity scores, and the Workforce Dashboard compares departments and surfaces top and bottom performers on actual activity rather than ticket counts alone. The expected-vs-actual trend flags coverage gaps before customers feel them.

Where HubSpot should land in your app rules

Mark CRM and helpdesk tools Productive via department overrides for Sales, Support, and Success — and leave them Unmarked globally. That keeps a finance user's occasional CRM lookup neutral while fully crediting the teams who live there. Non-Productive is almost never right for a tool customers depend on.

// FAQ

HubSpot + Momentum, answered

Does Momentum see customer data inside the CRM?+

No. The agent records which application or window is active and for how long — never record contents, customer fields, or ticket bodies.

How does this help with shift coverage?+

The Timeline's active/idle day strip against configured office hours shows exactly when agents were at the desk and active in queue tools, so coverage gaps and early drop-offs are visible per day and per department.

Can I compare support productivity across regions or teams?+

Yes. The Workforce Dashboard's department views and master user grid roll up scores, active time, and expected-vs-actual by department, so parallel teams are comparable on the same rules.
